Our Occasions hospitality menu has something for everyone, for large groups or small, offering traditional sandwich lunches through to crowd pleasing sharing boards and pizzas.

Meet our hospitality team

Senan Simmons - Contract Director

As Contract Director, I oversee catering across several University cafés, including the University Club Café and Bar. Our wider hospitality service supports more than 100 areas across the University, delivering everything from intimate receptions to large-scale international conferences. 

With over 15 years of experience in hospitality—including roles both within the University and externally—I bring a proven track record in service delivery, always with a strong focus on quality and excellence. Since joining, it has been rewarding to see growing momentum around consistency and high standards across our operations.

I’m passionate about continuous improvement and value open feedback. Our dedicated Hospitality Operations Manager also plays a key role in driving progress and ensuring we continue to deliver a first-class service.

 

Anca Onciul – Hospitality Operations Manager

As Hospitality Operations Manager at Oxford University, I bring over a decade of experience in delivering high-quality hospitality services across a variety of venues and events. My background spans both commercial and academic settings, where I’ve led teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences while improving operational standards and driving revenue growth.

My key focus areas include streamlining service delivery, making sure our guests feel well looked after, and ensuring that every event runs smoothly and to the highest standards. What truly drives me is creating memorable experiences through excellent service, good food, and genuine relationships with our customers.

I believe great hospitality starts with great communication and a genuine commitment to our customers’ needs. I’m approachable, solutions-focused, and always happy to discuss how we can support your next occasion here at Oxford. I look forward to working with you.
