- When an alarm is activated during normal working hours (Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00), we advise the relevant department.
- We deal with discovered or reported damage to premises by following the Estates Services call-out policy for any necessary repairs.
- We also facilitate any measures required to ensure the safety and security of the premises, including resetting the alarm system.
- All alarm activations are recorded on our Incident Management System and a detailed incident report is sent to the department. This then helps the department with any necessary preventative or corrective action.
We work in accordance with the University calling the fire service policy S2/05 and our service supports local Fire Risk Management Plans.
