IDRM Building completed

The building is now being prepared for the research teams who will occupy the Institute.

Construction of the three-storey, 6,000m2 building started in early 2020, under the management of the Capital Projects team within Estates Services.

Over the next few years, the IDRM will house around 240 world-leading scientists who will foster multidisciplinary collaborations at the intersection of developmental biology and regenerative medicine.

They will have access to world-class research facilities and equipment, such as the advanced medical imaging capabilities provided by the Oxford-Zeiss Centre of Excellence, a strategic partnership between the IDRM and the nearby Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology.

The building sits behind the Innovation Building at the corner of Old Road Campus, forming a gateway between the campus and the rest of Headington.
