IDRM construction progresses well
Work continues at the Institute for Developmental and Regenerative Medicine (IDRM) at Old Road Campus
At present the building's framework is being built, and procurement is underway on its external facade and internal fit-out. The whole project is expected to be completed in August 2021.
Procedures from the Construction Leadership Council aimed at minimising the risk of coronavirus transmission on site are being rigorously observed.
The IDRM sits in the land behind the recently-completed Innovation Building, forming a gateway between the Campus and the rest of Headington. The project gained planning permission in late 2019; when finished it will house around 200 scientists seeking to draw on the human body’s ability to repair itself to create new drugs and treatments.
